"this whole rotten system has become so vicious and cruel that in order to sustain itself, it needs to destroy entire countries and profit from their reconstruction in order to survive - and that's not a system that changes every four years, it's a system that we have to break down, generation after generation after generation after generation after generation... Wake up."

One of many problems that hasn't been solved by electing a handsome, charismatic president is the continued occupation of Iraq.
Not to mention, those of you who read the news will know that Obama signed off on unmanned drone attacks in Pakistan without any sort of agreement with the country's government.
It's been a week since his inauguration, and his signature killed 17 people. We certainly gave him a lot of power.
Is everybody really going to stand by and talk about Aretha Franklin's goofy hat while we pump another trillion dollars into a failed economy without coming up with solutions to make it work in the long term?

I agree with you about the asshole gas companies. We sign a contract with a propane company every year beause the truck gas price ends up being more expensive, so signing the contract at a fixed price saves us money but this year the truck price was $1.65 a gallon and the contract price was $2.25 a gallon, so I had to pay $40.00 to buy out of the contract so we could pay $1.65 instead of $2.25 a gallon for propane ($.10 a gallon for the 400 gallons we had left on our contract) What a rip off!!! We had to pay $40.00 to save $200.00. I'm glad you figured that out about them estimating your bill . Our electric bill is still read by a meter reader every month I think, which is the way it should be if they can't afford the new technology. I think they use binoculars to read it so they don't have to go in the yard with the dogs.

This same gas company also charges you $75.00 to bring propane to your home if it's not your specified route day. So if you find your self almost out of gas on Thursday, you have to wait until the next Wednesday to buy more gas unless you want to pay them $75.00 for the privilege of having them come out to your home to pay them $1.65 (hopefully) a gallon to fill up your gas tank. It's ridiculous!!
